We feel a leeeeetle bad about cooking up VCU’s mascot, Rodney the Ram, into a delicious lamb burger. But the burger was SO good. We got some culinary help from guest chef and meat master, Rachel. Sorry, Rodney. We hope Georgetown doesn’t eat your team up as quickly as we ate you.
Recipe from guest chef, Rachel:
For the amount of ground lamb meat you have (we used 1/2 lb.)…
About 1 c bread crumbs
¼ of a large onion, diced
2 tb Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper
(I recommend making a small tester patty and then adjusting seasoning)
This yields five slider-sized patties that you can brown in the skillet and finish in a 400-degree oven for about five minutes until pink on the inside.
