Villanova Wildcats (Villanova, PA): Nova Lox on Brown Bread with Dill Spread
Full disclosure? We didn’t actually make these Nova lox/brown bread squares from scratch. We were all ready to do something creative with Nova lox to represent ’Nova, when we stumbled across a beautiful spread of Nova lox at our friend Maisie’s wedding shower. And how could we resist assembling and photographing these pretty little tea sandwiches?
Nova Lox Open Faced Sandwiches, with Dill Spread
Sliced Nova lox
Dill spread (we didn’t make this one, but a recipe for dill-flavored cream cheese can be found here)
Brown bread, cut into triangles
Capers
Dill leaves
Spread dill spread onto bread. Add a few slices of lox. Top with a spoonful of capers and a sprig of dill.
